Quick Reference Guide-

What Should Be My Target Exercise Heart Rate Range?


Formula: 220 - Age = ___ x 65%

220 - Age = ___ x 85%


Example: 35 year old person

220 - 35= 185 x 0.65 = 120

220 - 35= 185 x 0.85 = 157

(FYI: The 220- age is your estimated Max HR)


This 35yr person should have a target cardio HR of 120-157.
